Porto and Marseille lock heads at the Estádio Do Dragão for a Champions League Group C clash on Tuesday night. The hosts are second in the group after a 2-0 home win over Olympiakos on matchday two secured their first points of the UCL campaign. Marseille are still waiting to register their first points after following up a defeat at Olympiakos with another loss at home to Manchester City. The French side are desperate to end a run of six away defeats in the UCL, the streak beginning back in 2012. The visitors were not given the opportunity to bounce back from that defeat to City with a domestic fixture at the weekend. Their scheduled home contest with Lens in Ligue 1 was postponed due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the visitors' squad. Given the recent domestic form of Marseille, it is likely that French action would have been just the tonic to cure their European hangover. OM are unbeaten in five Ligue 1 matches and have only lost one of their eight league matches this season. The challenge for Andre Villas-Boas is to transfer that form to continental competition. A trip to Porto doesn't seem like the ideal opportunity to turn the corner.

Porto have won five of their last seven home matches in the UCL, a run that includes victories over AS Roma and Lokomotiv Moscow. The Portuguese champions have been solid at home for a while now, winning 12 of their last 15 matches in all competitions. A silver lining for Marseille could be the inconsistent overall form of Porto. They travelled to Paços de Ferreira on Friday and lost 3-2, their third consecutive away game without victory. While the likes of Paços and City have shown Marseille the way to get the better of Porto, we don't see the French side executing that gameplan in Portugal. Back the hosts.
