The Charlotte Hornets also got off to a positive start. The visitors lived up to their title as the favorites against the Brooklyn Nets as they cruised to a commanding 136-117 home win.

In that match, Brandon Miller led the team with a game-high 25 points, while LaMelo Ball contributed 20 points. As a team, they shot an impressive 53.33% from the field.
