Peru host Chile in the FIFA World Cup 2022 South American qualifiers at the Estadio Nacional de Lima. The hosts are placed seventh in the league standings with eight points on board from nine matches while the visitors have earned seven points from nine fixtures as well. Both the teams have struggled so far and a win is necessary for the two teams to put their qualification campaign back on track. Peru come into the game with a 2-0 defeat to Brazil which ended their short two game unbeaten run in the qualifiers. Chile went on to win 2-0 against Peru in the last meeting between the two teams back in 2020.
