Palmeiras and Flamengo will put a halt to their Serie A rivalry to focus on this continental showpiece. Palmeiras have reached this stage of the competition and lost three times. The most recent was in the year 2000. This match is a repeat of the 2021 final, though, and Palmeiras will be looking to repeat their heroics from back then.

Palmeiras - Flamengo: Form Analysis
Palmeiras haven't had much going their way in their recent meetings with Flamengo. This is a narrative they will want to change, and among others, they’ll bank on the outcome in a previous Copa Libertadores meeting.

It has been two months out of action now for Palmeiras midfielder Lucas Evangelista. The 30-year-old is nursing a hamstring injury, which has seen him miss 15 matches.
He is definitely set to sit out a 16th game, spending time in the infirmary alongside Paulinho. The Club World Cup game against Chelsea was Paulinho’s last act, and he has so far sat out 33 matches.
