Nigeria need to bounce back from that surprise defeat by Madagascar in their final group match. The Nigerian team are ranked 45th in the world (six places above their opponents) but that loss to Madagascar was a big surprise with those opponents ranked down at 108. Before that surprise defeat, Nigeria had beaten Burundi 1-0 with a goal 13 minutes from time and then beat Guinea scoring in the 73rd minute. Eight of their last nine internationals have had under 2.5 goals scored in them with only five goals in the last five played.
Cameroon are the defending champions and got their defence off to a good start with a 2-0 win over Guinea-Bissau. The next two games were against Ghana and Benin and both ended in goalless draws. They are now undefeated in their last seven matches but aside from an 11-0 win in a hybrid international and a 3-0 victory over Comoros, the goals haven't been flowing. Their last four internationals have all had under 2.5 goals scored and the tip here is for tha stat to come up again in a low-scoring match.
