This top-of-the-table clash in Group C of the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup will see defending champions New Zealand take on Ireland on Sunday. Can the Black Ferns see off the Green Wave to win the group? Below is our prediction for the match.
World No. 3 New Zealand are on track to defend their Women's Rugby World Cup title. The Black Ferns began their campaign with a dominant 54-8 victory over Spain. This was followed by another impressive 62-19 win against Japan in their second fixture.
Allan Bunting’s side have enjoyed a stellar run of form lately. They are unbeaten in their last six matches, winning five by dominant double-digit margins.
Ireland eased past Japan 42-14 in their 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup opening fixture. They also saw off Spain 43-27 in their last outing to maintain their perfect run in the tournament.
The victory against Spain saw the team book their place in the knockout stage and moved them level on points with New Zealand at the top of the group.
