Madison Square Garden will be bouncing on Friday night when the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics face off in Game 6 of their NBA Playoff series. The C’s beat the Knicks in midweek but still trail 3-2 in the series. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The New York Knicks are on the verge of bringing their 25-year wait to return to the Eastern Conference final to an end, but they are in a nervy situation now after losing Game 5 127-102. 

Arguably, the Knicks' biggest issue in Game 5 was their three-point defence, as they were slow to close down shooters and were made to pay, with the C’s draining 22 of 49 from range. 

Boston simply looked to have the better game plan and executed it, which was evident in the fourth quarter when they got Jalen Brunson fouled out with over seven minutes to play. 

Aside from rediscovering their range from beyond the arc, the most impressive part of the Celtics’ victory was that they got the job done without Jayson Tatum. 

Additionally, Kristaps Porzingis, who has been struggling with an illness, only lasted 12 minutes before “breathing problems” forced him off the court at halftime. 

However, the C’s depth came to the fore once again with Derrick White and Jaylen Brown combining for 60 points, while Luke Kornet stepped in incredibly for Porzingis with seven blocks.
