Nathan Aspinall is eyeing another deep run at the Ally Pally after reaching the quarter-finals last year. He made a solid start to his campaign, securing a straightforward 3-1 victory over Lourence Ilagan.

Aspinall has won eight of his last 10 matches in all competitions, but has lost each of his last four encounters against his upcoming opponent.

Doests has won seven of his last 10 matches, and has only ever lost to Aspinall once in his career.
