For the past couple of seasons this fixture has been a battle between the top two. Not so this time around as leaders Juventus travel to Napoli who began the weekend down in 13th place in Serie A. The home side are nine points above the relegation zone so there are no immediate worries on that score. In terms of European football qualification, they are seven points behind the final Europa League place and 14 behind qualifying for the Champions League, so plenty to worry about. Napoli have only won six out of 20 league games this season and already lost eight matches. They have lost four of their last five Serie A matches and failed to score in the last two. Home form is usually something to brag about big time but not this season with no wins in the last six and each of the last four lost. Napoli did get a win over Lazio in the Italian Cup though, but need to improve vastly to get anythimg out of this game.

Juventus have been in second place for most of the season but Inter have slipped of late and the defending champions are back on top. They went into the weekend with a four point lead over their big spending rivals. Juventus have already beaten Napoli once this season, a thrllling 4-3 home win back in August. They have won 16 of their 20 league games this season and are a massive 27 points ahead of Napoli, more than double the number their opponents have earned this season. Juventus have won their last five league games and their only loss this season in Serie A was away to in-form Lazio. Seven out of ten away league games have been won and win number eight looks likely here.
