Third placed Marseille travel to Montpellier who are one from bottom in Ligue 1. The visitors have won four of their seven league games so far and will look to continue their excellent away form. Here's our match prediction.

Marseille begin the weekend five points behind leaders Monaco and three adrift of PSG who are second. The Olympians have the best away record in Ligue 1 this season. They won their first three games at Brest, Toulouse and Lyon (with 11 goals scored) before losing 1-0 at Strasbourg.

Their most recent league fixture saw them held to a 1-1 home draw by Angers, a match in which they took the lead. New signing Mason Greenwood has been in good form for them on the road with four away league goals so far this season.

Montpellier have only taken one point from their last three home league games against Marseille. They have been struggling for form this season with only four points from their first seven league fixtures. That's left them two points from safety.

Defending is their big problem with 21 goals conceded in their seven league games, the worst record in Ligue 1 this season. Away form has contributed most to their woes with all four games lost and 15 goals put past them.

At home, La Pallade only earned one point from their first two league fixtures before getting off the mark with a 3-2 win over Auxerre who have lost four of their last five matches. This will be tougher and we tip Marseille to get the win.
