From the Ekstraklasa, both teams are coming off high-scoring wins. In the 30th round of league matches, Pogon emerged tops in a nine-goal thriller, beating Puszcza Niepolomice 5-4.

Efthymios Koulouris was on fire again, with four goals in that match, taking his tally to nine in just the last five matches. The Greek forward also scored twice in the last four meetings with Legia.

Legia Warsaw have picked up form lately. They are coming from a three-game winning run, the latest a 3-1 away victory at GKS Katowice.

The first of the three wins was away to Chelsea in the Conference League quarter-finals. With that, they have gained momentum, but they are still struggling defensively.

None of their last six matches have produced a clean sheet, with most coming with high scores. Their four wins in the cup competition have also been high-scoring, with the team keeping two clean sheets in the process.

Legia will hope this form plays out on Friday as they seek a first win in four matches against Pogon.
