Mjallby Aif vs AIK Prediction & Betting Tips - Allsvenskan

There is top-of-the-table action in the Swedish Allsvenskan this weekend as leaders Mjallby host third-placed AIK in what should be an intriguing game at the Strandvallen Stadium. Anders Torstensson's MAIF have set the pace in the first half of the league campaign in Sweden, but their sole defeat in their opening 16 games came away to Mikkjal Thomassen's Gnaget back in May. What will our prediction be for this key top-three clash?

After finishing fifth last year, Mjallby have started this campaign superbly well, losing just one of 16 games, winning 11 and drawing four. They have 37 points and are four clear of Hammarby on 33 points in second. AIK are a place further back in third with nine wins, five draws and two defeats from their 16 games and are on 32 points.

Since losing away to AIK 2-1 in May, Mjallby have gone nine games unbeaten (seven wins, two draws). Their last home game was a 1-1 draw against Malmo at the end of June but since then, they have won 1-0 away to Osters IF and then defeated Sirius 2-1 in another away clash. 

AIK's form isn't quite so impressive with three draws, three defeats and three wins since beating Mjallby in May. Most recently they lost 2-0 away to Halmstad in between two good home victories, 3-0 over Gothenburg and then 3-0 over Degerfors.
