Minnesota Twins vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction & Betting Tips - MLB

Wednesday in Major League Baseball sees an intriguing interleague matchup between two division leaders when the Minnesota Twins take on the Milwaukee Brewers at Target Field in downtown Minneapolis. The Twins sit atop the AL Central with a record of 48-41 and will be hoping to extend their 3.5 game lead over the second-place Guardians. The Brewers also hold a slim lead of their own in the NL Central, with a 49-39 record giving Milwuakee a two game lead over the Cardinals. This is the second of a quick two-game series between the two ball clubs after they faced off yesterday which resulted in a 6-3 away win for the Brew Crew. Both teams haven’t been in the best of form lately with the Twins losing four of their last five while the Brewers had also dropped four from five before the win yesterday. 

Taking the mound for the Brewers is Aaron Ashby, the 24-year-old lefty who is 2-6 on the year with a 4.52 ERA. While the numbers haven’t been too impressive so far for Ashby, he is coming off a fairly solid five inning, two earned runs, three hit performance in his last outing which resulted in a 6-2 win for Milwaukee. Most importantly, he does match up well against this Twins lineup being a left-handed pitcher as Minnesota have struggled all season against lefties. For the Twins, Joe Ryan gets the start looking to add another win to his 6-3 record and 3.09 ERA. The 26-year-old only made it through four innings in his last appearance, giving up three runs (two earned), five hits and a home run in a 9-8 loss against the White Sox. The Brewers should fancy their chances of getting to Ryan as the second-year pitcher has given up a home run in four of his last five starts.
