Melbourne Victory and the Newcastle Jets will face off in their final match of the season at AAMI Park on Sunday. The Big V are in fifth place in the league standings, while the Jets are ninth. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

Melbourne Victory have secured a spot in the final series and still have a chance to end the season as high as third place, depending on results from elsewhere this weekend. 

The Big V enter this match following a 2-1 win over Macarthur last week, which was their third win in four games. It was also the fifth time in the last six matches they scored two or more goals. 

The hosts have been solid at home this season, losing only two of 12 games to date. They have also scored two or more goals in seven of their last 10 at AAMI Park. 

Meanwhile, with 29 points in 25 games, the Newcastle Jets are slightly better off than they were last season but will still not feature in the final series.
