The UFC Apex in Las Vegas will light up on Saturday when Mateusz Gamrot faces off against Ludovit Klein in the lightweight division at UFC Fight Night. ‘Gamer’ has a pro record of 24-3-0, while Mr. Highlight is 23-4-1. Let’s get into the match prediction.
Mateusz Gamrot is set to step inside the Octagon for the first time since August last year at UFC 305, where he went toe-to-toe with Dan Hooker but ended on the wrong side of a split decision.
The former KSW Champ has recorded seven wins and three defeats in the UFC, with victories over the likes of Arman Tsarukyan, Rafael dos Anjos, Rafael Fiziev and Jalin Turner.
Gamer is an elite grappler, but has notched up eight of his career victories by KO/TKO and five via submission. As a wrestler, he also has a massive gas tank, which will be important against this opponent.
Meanwhile, Ludovit Klein enters this match following a unanimous decision victory over Roosevelt Roberts back in September, which took his current win streak to four.
Klein is unbeaten in eight fights, seven of which were wins, with the exception being a draw against Jai Herbert in March 2023. This is Mr. Highlight’s biggest fight to date, and a victory will likely earn him a ranking.
In terms of the tale of the tape, Klein is four years younger and lands 3.81 significant strikes per minute to Gamrot’s 3.23. However, the Pole is the taller fighter and has a takedown average of 5.25 to the Slovak’s 1.70.
