Who will face fourth seed Novak Djokovic in round two of the Shanghai Masters? It'll be the winner of this first round match between unseeded players Marin Cilic and Corentin Moutiet. Time for our prediction of this outdoor hard court match.

Marin Cilic has enjoyed success on both clay and grass this year but not so much on this surface. The 37-year-old has only played seven hard court matches with just a couple being won. He's 97th in the live rankings and has lost his last six matches, three on hard courts.

That run of defeats includes being beaten by Moutet in a Davis Cup match in September though that was played on clay. His most recent match was a tough one as he lost in straight sets in Beijing to Jannik Sinner, winning only four games.

Corentin Moutet is 38th in the live rankings and four places higher in the ATP Race, over 50 above Cilic. The French player's recent win over Cilic was his first but the previous two matches were played five years ago.

September saw him get to the last four in Hangzhou and his most recent outing was a second round loss in Beijing to Alexander Zverev but he took the German to a final set. We tip him to beat Cilic.
