It's not been a great week for Manchester City. It began with a home draw against Everton that they really should have won if they were any good at taking penalties. Then they travelled to Spain and were hammered 4-0 by Barcelona. They still sit at the top of the Premier League though but only on goal difference from Arsenal. Home form has been good this season though and they have an excellent home record against Southampton winning the last six and scoring 17 goals. Southampton also lost in midweek going down 1-0 away to Inter in the Europa League on Thursday. That ended a run of good results that has taken them up to eighth in the Premier League after a slow start. Their away record is poor though with just one win in six league and cup games this season. Manchester City can get a home win here.
