With Arsenal almost certainly eliminated and Leicester in dire form, Manchester City represent the English Premier League's only hope of winning the Champions League this season. They finished second in their group behind Barcelona (also doomed to be eliminated in the last sixteen) but did beat the Spanish side 3-1 at home. It's their form at the Etihad that saw them qualify past Borussia Monchengladbach with two wins and a draw. They failed to win any of their away matches so will be keen on getting a good lead to take to France. Monaco topped their group above Bayer Leverkusen and Tottenham but only won one of their away games beating Tottenham 2-1 at Wembley. It might have been a different story if they'd had to go to White Hart Lane and the French side were beaten 3-0 at Leverkusen.  Monaco top the French league at present but were held to a 1-1 draw by relegation threatened Bastia in their most recent league match. Go for City to win this match.
