Malaga start the weekend in 13th place in La Liga. They are nine points above the relegation zone so in no real danger yet. That might change though as they have gone four league games without a win. They have only lost one home league game this season though but their last home match saw them held to a draw by Granada who are one from bottom in the table and they have lost their last two games conceding seven goals so they are struggling for form. Real Sociedad are sixth in the table and only two points off the Champions League. They suffered a setback in their last game getting thrashed 4-0 at home by second placed Sevilla but they have hit 11 goals in their last three games so not too disastrous a result for Sociedad who had won their two previous games. Away form has seen them win three of the last four with the only loss being at fifth placed Villarreal.  Sociedad can get the three points here against a struggling Malaga.
