Madagascar let slip a second half lead to draw 2 – 2 with Guinea in their opening game while Burundi held their own well for a big part of the game before crumbling against Nigeria late on in their first ever AFCON match. Both sides will be gunning for a first ever win at AFCON when they face off and heading to the game, Madagascar have not won any of their last six matches. Burundi have not won any of their last four matches, and have managed just one win in the last 12 matches. They have just one clean sheet in the last 12 matches. Burundi managed 15 shots and six on target against Nigeria in their opening game despite having lesser of the possession in the game.
