Luke Littler and Gian van Veen will face off in the final of the 2026 PDC World Championships on Sunday evening. The Nuke is the defending world champion, while The Giant is featuring in his first final at the Ally Pally. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

Luke Littler has been in sizzling form at the Ally Pally this year. He beat Darius Labanauskas, David Davies, Mensur Suljovic, Rob Cross and Krzysztof Ratajski through the first five rounds, dropping just two sets. 

In the semis, the Nuke demolished in-form Ryan Searle 6-1, averaging 105.35, including 10 180s. He converted 20/34 checkout attempts and recorded a highest checkout of 110.

Littler has won his last 19 matches in a row since the end of October, a period during which he beat this opponent 2-0 at the World Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, we said from the off that Gian van Veen is one of our dark horses in this competition. Over the first five rounds, he defeated Cristo Reyes, Alan Soutar, Madars Razma, and Charlie Manby. 

The Giant’s biggest scalp was that of Luke Humphries (5-1) in the last four, where he averaged 105.41 with 11 180s. He also converted 16/29 checkout attempts and recorded a Big Fish highest checkout. 

Van Veen has won eight of his last 10 matches, and while he lost to Littler in their last encounter, the Dutchman did win three in a row against the teenager prior.
