Les Herbiers play in the third-tier of French football and are nowhere near getting promoted. However, they've  been causing shocks galore in the French Cup this season and have made it all the way through to the final where they have the dubious honour of taking on the Ligue 1 Champions PSG. The National League side are 11th in the table and only two points above the relegation zone and could even go down if losing their final game of the season at third-place Beziers. In the French Cup though, they have  beaten Ligue 2 sides Auxerre and Lens and in the semi--finals, beat another National League team, Chambly in a game that had to be played at Nantes as their own ground wasn't large enough as it only has a 5,000 capacity Their annual budget is two millions euros, that's compared to 270 million for their opponents. In all, they have had to play seven games to get through to the final but have had luck with the draw not having met a Ligue 1 side. Form coming into this game has them with just one loss in the last six league and cup matches but no wins in their last three away games.

PSG are one of the giants of European football, despite a poor record in the Champons League. They have already won the French League Cup.and the Ligue 1 title with a 17 point lead at the time of writing this preview. PSG are chasing a fourth straight French Cup triumph and their only two defeats in their last 22 league and cup games have been at the hands of Real Madrid. They are unbeaten in their last 23 French Cup games and have scored 20 goals in their five games on the way to this final including a 3-0 win over Europa League finalists Marseille and all but one of their games have been against Ligue 1 opposition. PSG have played some strong line-ups in the tournament with all their superstar signings playing at some point. The Les Herbiers dream wlll remain just that, go for PSG to win the cup in a game that has over 3.5 goals in it, but it'll be a day the minnows will never forget.
