Lazio are in top form and bid to make it four successive league victories. They begin the weekend in seventh, a place and a point above opponents Sassuolo. The home side are only two points behind Atalanta who hold the final Europa League place. With them going to leaders Milan this weekend, Lazio could well climb above them if defeating Sassuolo. Lazio have won their last three league games scoring seven goals and only conceding a penalty. The first two of those victories were against Fiorentina and Parma, both in the bottom half of the table. However, the most recent win saw them beat fourth placed AS Roma at home, so far more impressive. Home form has been a bit of a struggle this season, with only one win in the first six league games. They have turned that situation around though with three straight wins. To emphasize their good form, Lazio haven't just beaten Roma at home recently but also third placed Napoli.

Sassuolo made a good start to the new season but have faltered a little bit of late. They were unbeaten in their first eight league games and even topped the table at one stage. Sassuolo haven't been able to keep that run going though. The last ten league games have only produced three wins, all against sides in the bottom half of the table. Their last league match saw them require a last minute penalty to grab a 1-1 home draw against Parma, who have only one team below them in the table. On their travels, they began the season with four league wins in a row but have only won one of the last five. More recent disappointment was a home loss to SPAL from Serie B in the Italian Cup. Lazio are the clear form pick here and can get the three points.
