Norway travel to Latvia in World Cup qualifying Group D which is a very tight group. Just one point separates the top four with Norway in fourth and Latvia a place below them. Norway did their qualification hopes the power of good when drawing 1-1 at home with the Netherlands on Wednesday. Haaland gave them the lead but the Dutch side equalized 13 minutes later. The Norwegians have won two of their four group games, both on the road. They have had wins in Gibraltar and Montenegro and now bid to make it three. Their last three away World Cup qualifers have all been won and without conceding. They are only a point behind leaders Turkey and level with the Netherlands and Montenegro. A few goals would be handy here as their goal difference is only +1.

Latvia are fifth in the group but a win here would put them level with their opponents. They have four points but it could have been more. Latvia led Montenegro in their opening game but ended up losing 2-1. A 2-0 loss in the Netherlans followed but then they drew 3-3 in Turkey but were 3-1 down at one stage in the second half. Wednesday saw them finally win a game with a 3-1 home win over Gibraltar. Only two of their last eight home World Cup qualifying games have been won but they were against Andorra and Gibraltar. Back Norway to get a valuable away win here.
