RKS Rakow Czestochowa vs Sporting Lisbon Prediction & Betting Tips - Europa League

Sporting Lisbon will be away to Rakow Czestochowa on Thursday looking to get back to winning ways in the Europa League. The visitors are currently in second place in Group E while the hosts are bottom. Rakow Czestochowa’s group stage debut isn’t going to plan. After losing their opening two rounds, this is a must-win match for Dawid Szwarga’s men if they are to make the knockout rounds. The Polish champions have had stuttering form this season which has also affected their domestic league start. Rakow have won only three of their last seven games with the other four all ending in defeat. They were defeated 2-1 away to struggling Gornik Zabre over the weekend.

While Rakow are struggling with inconsistency, Sporting have ripped through their opponents. The Portuguese heavyweights have lost only one of their 11 matches this season and have won nine times. Their sole defeat however came last time out in the Europa League as they lost 2-1 at home to group leaders Atalanta. Ruben Amorim’s men have responded to that defeat excellently and have won their last two fixtures, scoring five goals in the process. Sporting were 3-1 winners away to Olivais e Moscavide over the weekend to begin their Taca de Portugal campaign. The Lions were 2-1 winners away to Sturm Graz on matchday one. That win was their third in the last four away day fixtures in the Europa League.
