England U21 begins their European Championship qualifying campaign with a clash against Kazakhstan U21 at Koblandy Batyr Stadium. Here's our match prediction.

Kazakhstan U21 missed out on the 2025 European Championship after failing to impress in the qualifying campaign. Managing just nine points from ten games, they finished in fifth place in Group B.

This season, the Young Hawks have renewed ambitions, and that's to secure promotion to the European Championship finals for the first time since 2021. 

It has been a positive start in the current qualifying campaign as they have picked up three points in their first outing. Their opening match was against Andorra, and Olzhas Baybek's lone strike was enough to secure a 1-0 home win.

England U21 reaffirmed their status as a dominant force in Europe thanks to their impressive run in the 2025 European Championship finals. 

The Young Lions entered that competition as the defending champions. In the group stages, they delivered a shaky performance, finishing with four points, yet still managed to secure second place in Group B and advance to the knockout stages. 

En route to their fourth European Championship, they defeated Spain U21 (3-1) in the quarter-final, the Netherlands U21 (2-1) in the semi-final, and lastly, they won 3-2 against Germany after extra-time in the final. This saw them retain the title, making them the first team to do so since Spain in 2013.
