Kansas City Chiefs take on the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship match with the winners going to the Superbowl. The Chiefs are the heavy favourites to win this match  after winning AFC West with a 12-4 season record and that put them five wins clear of Denver Broncos. This is the fifth year in a row that the Chiefs have made it to the play-offs but not since 1970 have they reached the Superbowl, beating Minnesota Vikings that year. The divisional play-off saw them defeat Houston Texans 51-31 after losing the first quarter 21-0. They bombarded the Texans in the second quarter, scoring 28 points and ran away with the game in the second half. That makes it seven straight wins for the Chiefs. They lost away to the Titans by three points in the regular season, but last week saw them avenge a Houston defeat.

Tennessee caused a big upset when defeating Baltimore Ravens last weekend. They finished second in the AFC South with a 9-7 record and a 7-5 performance against other sides in the AFC. The Titans are the sixth ranked team in this conference (their opponents are second) but they have been in good form in the play-offs. Firstly, they disposed of the New England Patriots and then defeated the Ravens 28-12. Can they cause a third upset and reach the Superbowl for the first time since 2000?  Keeping Patrick Mahomes off the field is going to be the aim of the Titans but with Kansas having home advantage, that is easier said than done. Go for the Chiefs on a -4 point spread.
