Since the start of September, teams have been battling it out to reach the Super Bowl. This Sunday sees the big match taking place as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in Miami, Florida. The Chiefs won the AFC West with a 12-4 regular season record, making them the second seeded AFC side in the play-offs. With top-seeded Baltimore Ravens falling by the wayside, wins over Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans have seen them reach their first Super Bowl since winning in 1970.

In 2018, the San Francisco 49ers had a 4-12 season record. The glory days looked a long way from returning but they have made it through to their first Super Bowl since 1973. They had a 13-3 record when winning the NFC West and were top seeds for their conference play-offs. Wins over Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers won them the AFC Title but they face a tough task this weekend. Patrick Mahomes is the star quarterback for the Chiefs and their offence looks likely to cause problems aplenty for the 49ers. San Francisco may have a good defence but Mahomes can lead the Chiefs to a win here.
