The Kansas City Chiefs made a blistering start to the season winning their first five matches and nine of their first ten. They went on to win AFC West with a 12-4 record taking them into the divisional play-offs as the number one seeds. That gives them home advantage and last weekend they comfortably beat the Indianapolis Colts 31-13.to end a run of six home play-off games without a win.  This season they have only lost one home game (to LA Chargers and that was by a point).  Kansas won three of the four quarters in that match (the other ending 0-0) and will look to maintain their impressive home form.

They take on the New England Patriots who certainly know how to win an AFC Championship match. They have won three of the last four and been Super Bowl champions in both 2015 and 2017, suprisingly losing last year's Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles.This is their eighth successive AFC Championship match. They won AFC East this season but lost five of their regular season matches. Last weekend they took on LA Chargers in the divisional play-offs and won 41-28.  They led that match 35-7 at half-time but then lost both the third and fourth quarters. Running back Sony Michel scored three touchdowns in that game and legendary QB Tom Brady passed for 343 yards. That was at home though and all the Patriots defeats this season have come on the road.  Home advantage will be a major influence here and Kansas can get the win,
