Round 3 of the 2026 PDC World Darts Championship will see Jonny Clayton taking on Niels Zonneveld. The winner of this match between the Ferret and Triple Z will meet either Andreas Harrysson or Ricardo Pietreczko in the fourth round. Let’s get into the match prediction.

Jonny Clayton began his 2026 World Championship with a 3-1 victory over Adam Lipscombe in the opening round. He reached round four here last year before bowing out to Gerwyn Price 4-2. 

The Ferret did not play a second-round match due to his scheduled opponent, Dom Taylor, being disqualified from the tournament after failing a drug test the day before their matchup.

Meanwhile, Niels Zonneveld kicked off his campaign with 3-0 victory over New Zealander Haupai Puha in round one. This is the first time that the Dutchman has reached round three at the Ally Pally. 

Triple Z then recorded what he called the biggest win of his life, beating Michael Smith 3-1 in round two. He made five 180s and averaged 94.52, while convering 43.48% of checkout attempts. 

Zonneveld has won six of his last 10 matches. His most recent victory over Clayton came on the European Tour in October 2024.
