For the third time in 2025, Linda Noskova and Jessica Pegula will be facing off, this time in the Beijing Open semi-finals. This tie is balanced at 1-1, and the winner here meets Amanda Anisimova or Cori Gauff in the title match. Read on for our prediction.

Fifth seed Pegula had a shaky first set against Emma Navarro in the quarters but recovered to win the match in three sets. Apart from her second-round win, Pegula hasn’t had it easy in Beijing.

In each of the last three matches, she needed a tiebreaker at some point, then a deciding set. As a result, she’s spent seven hours and 47 minutes on the court.

Sixth in the live rank, the American has compiled a 47-19 record and has a 5-1 run in semis this season.

Noskova won the only hardcourt meeting between these two, in Dubai. She will be gunning for another win, having had a solid campaign here.

Her only match to progress beyond two sets led to a retirement, and as a result, she’s played two hours less than Pegula. Considering she’s younger, that could hold an advantage for the Czech.

A finalist in Prague, Noskova overcame Sonay Kartal in the quarter-finals in straight sets and has thus compiled a 32-22 record. Her only downside coming here is a losing run in the semi-finals, which stands at 4-5 overall and 1-2 this season.

Noskova is 18th on the live rankings, a record high for the Czech.
