Italy clash with Iceland at the Academy Stadium in Manchester, in a defining clash for the group’s qualification places. Italy were thumped by France 5-1 in the opening game of Euro 2022. Overall, Iceland come into this fixture in strong form, having won three of their last four and losing just once in their last eleven. Their defensive record over the course of these games has been stellar, with the Icelanders keeping clean sheets in seven of the said eleven games. They are also effective in attack, having scored ten goals in their last four games and drawing just one blank in their last eleven.
