Italy are second in Group G with 13 points but only on goal difference behind Spain. The two teams meet in Spain in September and that may well decide who automatically qualifies for Russia. They drew 1-1 in Italy and if they draw again in September, it may well be goal difference that decides the group winner. At present Spain are eight goals ahead on that score so Italy need to get a big win over Leichtenstein. They beat the team who are bottom of the table 4-0 away and will expect to at least equal that result here and they recently beat San Marino 8-0 at home. Leichtenstein have lost all five of their games scoring just once and conceding 19 goals. They did only lose 2-1 in Israel though despite being two goals down after 16 minutes. They also got a 1-1 draw in Finland earlier this month but Finland are a few leagues below the might of Italy.  It's 15 games without a win for them and that last victory was over San Marino in 2015 and just two wins over Moldova and San Marino in their last 52 away games. Italy need goals, go for them to win on a -4 handicap.
