Israel suffered a 2-0 home loss to Denmark in their opening game of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers and will be hoping for a win when they get to host Scotland on Match Day 2. The hosts get to play two straight home matches and they’ll also have revenge in mind after the Scots eliminated them from the Euro Championships qualification at the playoffs. They were however lackluster at home to Denmark as they suffered a third loss in five matches. In their last 10 matches, Israel have two wins and five losses, while they have registered just four clean sheets in the last 15 matches. The two goals against Denmark marked the third time in five matches that they’ve conceded twice in a game while they’ve scored two or more goals in just three of the last 15 games. It hasn’t been good for Israel in their World Cup qualification matches; in the last seven, they’ve suffered six losses, with their only win coming over minnows Liechtenstein. Those two losses are Scotland’s only defeats in the last 12 matches, and one of them was away to this same opponent, Israel, in the Nations League. The Scots are unbeaten in seven World Cup qualification matches, winning four, and in the last seven away matches in the same qualifiers, they have four wins, and two losses.
