Inter had a successful season last term but faced a late battle to ensure a place in the Champions League. They won two of their last three league games to finish in fourth place and will hope to make it out of their group this season. The summer has seen them make some big signings topped by the arrival of Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United for £58m. Over £100m was spent on new players as they bid to close the gap on the teams that finished above them last season. Inter ended the season 10 points behind second placed Napoli and 21 adrift of Juventus. Home form for Inter saw them win 11 and lose three last season They ended the season with an unbeaten run of five games. Only ten goals were conceded in home league games last season, the best record in Serie A with ten clean sheets.
Lecce finished second behind Brescia in Serie B last season to win automatic promotion back to the top league in Italy. It's been a long wait for them as they last played in Serie A in the 2011/12 season. Lecce haven't had that much cash to spend during the summer. Their most expensive signing was defender Romario Benzar from FSCB for £1.8m. Despite being promoted last season Lecce lost more away league games than they won (7 v 6).
