It is a big weekend in the Serie A in Italy and among the big games coming, champions Inter Milan will be hosting the team they dethroned, Juventus. Three points stand between the two sides; Inter are third with 17 points and Juventus seventh with 14 points. Inter Milan have been in some sort of a slump, even though they get to this game on the back of a 3-1 win over Sheriff in the Champions League. That was just their second win in five matches and in their last league game, they suffered their first Serie A loss of the season, going down 3-1 to Lazio. After facing Lazio and Atalanta, this is the next big game they’ll have; they haven’t played a lot of the top teams. They are great in attack but are really struggling to keep clean sheets; they have just one clean sheet in the last 12 league matches but are the lead scorers in Serie A with 23 goals. Both teams have scored in four of their last five matches, while four of the five matches have also produced over 2.5 goals. In 11 meetings with Juventus, Inter have managed just one win.

Juventus were slow starters to the season but have picked up well and have been rising up the Serie A standings each week. All they worked on was improving defensively and despite their poor start, they are better than Inter defensively ahead of this game. In the last few games, they’ve perfected the art of winning by one-goal margins, and it is going well. Juventus are coming from a 1-0 away win over Zenit, that being their fourth straight clean sheet and also fourth straight 1-0 win. They’ve beaten tough teams by that margin as well – Roma in their last game and earlier Chelsea, and in terms of opposition, they’ve faced tougher teams than Inter already. In the last seven league matches, Juventus have scored more than a goal in just two. They have one loss only in the last eight away league games and going to this, they’ve beaten Inter in four of the last six meetings.
