Inter Milan are flying high in third position but are still getting over their shock elimination from the Champions League. They'd love to finish higher in Serie A but are eight points behind their opponents, second-placed Napoli. A loss on Boxing Day will surely end any hopes of them finishing in the top two. The weekend saw them held to a disappointing 1-1 draw at Chevio who are bottom of the table and still looking for their first league win of the season. Inter went ahead in the first half but lost out on all three points when the home side equalized in the 91st minute. Inter have only won one of their last six league and cup games but have won the last six Serie A home matches without conceding in the last five.

Napoli remain second after their 1-0 home win over SPAL at the weekend but still trail leaders Juventus by eight points. They are also out of the Champions League after the recent 1-0 loss at Liverpool left them third in the group. That's the only game in their last six league and cup games that they haven't won and their only defeat in the last 15 league and cup matches. In Serie A they are unbeaten in their last 11 games since a defeat at unbeaten leaders Juventus. This should be a tight game and a double chance bet on Napoli to win or draw can produce a return.
