Taking the mound for the Astros is Framber Valdez, who has had an excellent season and a superb playoff run so far. Valdez was 17-6 in the regular season with a 2.82 ERA and carried that form over into the postseason, going 2-0 and only allowing three total earned runs in his three starts. On the other side, Zach Wheeler will be tasked with keeping the Phillies season alive. The 32-year-old was 12-7 in the regular season with a 2.82 ERA as well but has looked shaky in a few of his playoff outings. Wheeler gave up four earned runs on six hits in the game two loss to the Astros, lasting only five innings in that start.

We’re going to back the Houston Astros to close this out and lift the World Series trophy. Houston has been superb all year, especially at home, and should be able to get this done with arguably their ace in Framber Valdez on the mound. The Astros lineup has been excellent at limiting strikeouts this season and should be able to get a few runs off of Wheeler again. The cushion should ultimately prove enough for Valdez and the Astros’ bullpen to preserve and lead Houston to their second title in five seasons.
