Guinea are in their first African Cup of Nations tournament since 2015 when they reached the quarter-finals. They will have to improve their form if they want to repeat that feat as Guinea have gone five games without a win. Their most recent loss was to Egypt, losing 3-1 at the weekend and with Mo Salah only playing for the final 29 minutes. Guinea are struggling for goals at present with only three scored in their last five matches. Before the loss to Egypt, their last eight games had all seen under 2.5 goals scored in them.

With the number of teams in the finals being extended, there are some lesser known nations competing this year. One of those is Madagascar who are competing in their first ever finals. They secured their place in Egypt with a 1-0 win over Equatorial Guinea. Since that win they have lost four of their five games played. The other was a 3-3 draw in Luxembourg but they led 3-1 before conceding goals in he 91st and 92nd minutes. That was a rare high-scoring game for them and they come into this tournament with an inexperienced squad. Of their 12 defenders and midfielders, only one has more than eight caps. Go for under 2.5 goals to be scored in this match.
