NFC top seeds Green Bay Packers host the sixth seeded San Francisco 49ers in the divisional play-off. The winner of this match faces either defending Super Bowl champions Tampa Bay or the LA Rams in the NFC Championship match. The Packers ended the main season with a 13-4 record, winning NFC North. That made them the top seeds for the play-offs due to winning one more game against other conference sides than Tampa Bay. Green Bay became the first side to finish the main season with at least 13 wins for three years in a row. All very good but they still haven't won a Super Bowl since the one played 11 years ago. Green Bay had a bye through to this divisional play-off and had won five successive games before a final weekend loss at Detroit. They will relish playing this game in Green Bay as they are yet to lose a home match this season.

San Francisco lost at home to Green Bay earlier in the season. They finished third in the NFC West with a 10-7 record. At one stage this season they had a 3-5 record, so weren't imagining to make it to the divisional play-offs. The 49ers recovered well though with only two of their next nine matches being lost. They took on the Dallas Cowboys in the wild card round and caused a shock with a 23-17 win. San Francisco will make life difficult for the Packers but it's Green Bay who can get the win to reach a third consecutive NFC Championship match.
