Co-hosts Germany are in the final of the 2025 Women's World Handball Championships. They take on Olympic and European champions Norway in the final. Read our match prediction below.
The Germans are in their first final since their title triumph 32 years ago. Friday saw them play in their first semi-final since 2007. They defeated defending champions France 29-23 with Antje Doll scoring nine goals. That took her total for these championships to 48.
Germany have made it to the final by winning all eight of their matches. A win over will be their 12th consecutive victory. Although they are co-hosts, this final is being played in the Netherlands.
Just one more win and Norway really will rule the handball world. They were last crowned world champions in 2021 and were the beaten finalists two years ago. Like their opponents in this final, Norway have won all of their matches.
We really are seeing the top two in-form sides fighting it out to be world champions. They have had a string of comfortable wins with all their Main Round victories being by at least 13 goals. Montenegro were beaten 32-23 in the last eight. In Friday’s semi-final Norway defeated co-hosts the Netherlands.
