Germany vs Netherlands Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

2018 wasn't a great year for Germany. They failed to make it out of their group in the World Cup and then got themselves relegated in the inaugural European Nations League. That latter tournament saw them drawn against the Netherlands losing 3-0 to them away and drawing 2-0 at home. They should have won that home match as the Germans led the Dutch 2-0 after 19 minutes and that was still the score with five minutes remaining. Germany have progressed well since then and three Euro 2020 group games have produced three wins. They trail Northern Ireland by three points with a game in hand but they have been farming points against the weaker teams in this group. Germany have also beaten Belarus and Estonia and managed to score ten goals in doing so. Much tougher was the away trip to the Netherlands. They won that one 3-2 again leading 2-0, being pegged back to 2-2 but this time getting a 90th minute winner. They are unbeaten in their last six internationals and haven't lost at home since March 2018 when being beaten by Brazil.

The Netherlands have only played two games in this group. They had an easy 4-0 win over Belarus and then had that 3-2 loss to Germany. They trail Germany by six points with a game in hand and Northern Ireland by nine points with two games played less. A defeat in Germany would get them worried but they also have that backdoor route as they won their European Nations League group, eventually losing in the final to Portugal. Over 90 minutes they have only won one of their last five internationals. The tip here is for Germany to get a valuable home win.
