Switzerland and France managed one win each at the group stages of Euro 2020 and as they face off, will be hoping for good starts in the knockouts. France were top of Group F with five points while Switzerland finished third in Group A with four points. After their opening win over Germany, France struggled a bit in their final two matches, having to come from behind against Hungary and Portugal. They showed their fighting instincts though, with two draws, but their defensive weaknesses came to the fore, much as they managed to bring out their attacking instincts. Though they have no clean sheet in the last two matches, France have managed to score in each of their last 10 matches, and they are unbeaten in that run.
Switzerland just about managed to squeeze their way into the second round, after their win over Turkey. An opening draw with Wales was followed by a 3-0 beating by Italy before they thumped Turkey 3-1. This presents another tough task for the Swiss and they will be hoping to make the best of it after the scare in the group stage. They have no clean sheet in the three matches at this competition, while their last 10 matches have had just three. Both sides have scored in six of the Swiss’ last 10 matches and in six of those 10 games, they’ve managed to score two or more goals. They have failed to score in just one of their last 12 matches. Switzerland’s only win over France in the eight meetings they’ve had, came in 1992. They have no win, just three losses in their last seven meetings, the most recent at Euro 2016, which ended 0-0. Four of the last five matches between them have ended in draws, with France winning one.

Our France vs Switzerland Prediction
France’s defensive weaknesses have come to the fore in the last two matches, and their ratings as favorites to win this competition have considerably gone down. They remain lethal in attack though, and will want to do the business against Switzerland early enough. This shouldn’t be a tough game like the ones against Germany and Portugal, but Switzerland aren’t that bad in attack either. They are coming from a 3-1 win over Turkey and will want to charge past France, and given their scoring run, both sides scoring and over 2.5 goals here may pass.
