Sweden claimed their first win in Group 3, League A of the UEFA Nations League on Saturday after beating Croatia 2-1 and will be hoping to finish on a high when they travel to France on Tuesday. Heading to this game, very little can change for Sweden; they are bottom of the group on three points and staring at relegation from League A, while France are top on 13 points. France claimed a very important win on Saturday, beating Portugal 1-0 away from home with the unlikeliest of scorers getting the goal – Ngolo Kante. That win saw France advance to the next stage of the competition - the semis. The win over Portugal marked a big improvement from France’s midweek friendly against Finland, when they lost 2-0 at home and now in a run of 14 matches, they have a loss and 11 wins. They however have just two clean sheets in their last seven matches and this should be a concern going to their final group game. However, they will be happy with their scoring run, having failed to hit the back of the net in just two of the last seven matches. The world champions also carry a great run in the Nations League going to this clash – four wins and a draw in the last five matches. They have one loss in nine Nations League matches while they have failed to score in three of the nine. In the opening meeting with Sweden in this group, France won 1-0 away from home and will head here confident, being unbeaten in four Nations League games at home, while they have failed to score in just one of the four. France have scored two goals or more in three home matches in the Nations League and with four wins in six meetings with Sweden, they will hope they can finish their group matches on a high here.
