Round 21 of the 2024 Formula 1 season heads to Nevada for the Las Vegas Grand Prix on Sunday morning. Let’s get into the race prediction.

Max Verstappen leads the driver standings with 393 points, Lando Norris is in second on 331, and Charles Leclerc is third with 307 points. 

George Russell was the final driver to set a time in qualifying for the Las Vegas Grand Prix and his 1m32.312s was enough to clinch pole ahead of of Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz.

Sainz finished a tenth of a second behind the Mercedes driver, while Alpine had more reasons to celebrate after their sensational performance in Sao Paulo, with Pierre Gasly delivering another eye-catching ride to claim third on the grid. 

Sainz’s teammate Charles Leclerc will complete the second row, while title contenders Max Verstappen and Lando Norris will line up side by side in P5 and P6 respectively. 

The 2024 F1 Driver Championship could be decided this week if Verstappen finishes ahead of Norris. The Brit needs to outscore the Dutchman by at least three points to keep the championship title race alive. 

Rows four and five on the starting grid will be occupied by Yuki Tsunoda, Oscar Piastri, Nico Hulkenberg and Lewis Hamilton in P7 to P10 respectively. 

While there is plenty of placement still to fight for this season, the title is now a two-horse race between Verstappen and Norris, with the reigning champion in a very strong position to claim his fourth consecutive championship.
