Flamengo are a real Jekyll and Hyde team. Impressive at home but not to be entirely trusted when on their travels. That was shown in the first leg of this last sixteen tie in the Copa Libertadores. Flamengo lost that game 2-0 so have a tough task on their hands to get back into this tie. They won at the weekend beating Botafogo 3=2 at home, that made it six straight wins on home soil in that league, yet only one of their last six away matches have been won. Flamengo finished top of their qualifying group but it'll be a major achievement for the seventh seeds to make it to the last eight.

Emelec are eighth in the Ecuadorian league and only have one point from their last two games. Before that though, they had won four league games in a row. They finished second in their qualifying group despite not winning a home match. Their away form is erratic though with five league defeats so far this season. Flamengo can be backed to get the win here but it might not be by a score that will take them into the quarter finals.
