Italy missed out on the last World Cup and then the finals of the UEFA Nations League. They want to get back in the big time and already look well on their way to achieving that. The Italians have a three point lead at the top of Group J and are eight clear of third place with the top two automatically qualifying. Italy have won all five of their group matches, scoring 16 goals and conceding just two. They recorded their fifth group win in a row when beating Armenia 3-1 away. They had an early scare in that game as they went 1-0 down but fought back to get another three points.

Finland have never played in a major finals but earlier this season won their UEFA Nations League group. That means they will be in the Euro 2020 play-offs but might not need to as they have 12 points in this group from five games. They have won all their games aside from a 2-0 defeat in Italy and have a five point lead over Bosnia and Herzegovina (already in the play-offs thanks to their Nations League success). Italy have already beaten Finland as mentioned and they can be backed to get an away win here to further strengthen their position at the top of the table.
