Both of these countries head in to the second set of Autumn Nations Cup games with a win under their belt. England started with a comprehensive 40-0 home win over Georgia, while Ireland defeated Wales 32-9 on home soil. England pipped Ireland for the Six Nations title a few weeks ago and will look to confirm their superiority over them. When the two countries met in that 2020 Six Nations championship, England beat Ireland 24-12 at Twickenham. That was their third straight win over the Irish and their fifth in the last seven meetings. Ireland haven't won at Twickenham since 2018 and you have to go back eight years for their previous victory.

Both teams have made changes for this match. England hve Sam Underhill back, while Ireland will be captained by James Ryan with Johnny Sexton out injured. His absence from the Irish squad is a blow and tips the scales even more in the favour of England. The home side put in a good performance against Georgia in their opening game, though coach Eddie Jones believes they could have perhaps scored another twenty points. Since the opening Six Nations defeat in France, England have won five games in a row.and haven't lost a home game at Twickenham since a single-point defeat by New Zealand in November 2018. 12 of their last 14 internationals have been won so this will be a tough task for the Irish. They did well to beat Wales in their opening game of this new competition but the Welsh are badly out of form at present. Go for England to get the win here and be ahead at both half and full time.
