Unseeded Emma Raducanu meets Mingge Xu for a place in round two at Wimbledon. This is the only all-British pairing in the first round of this grass court Grand Slam. Could wild card Xu cause a shock? Read our match prediction.

For the winner of this match, there's a second round tie against either 32nd seed McCartney Kessler or former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova. Looking further ahead, the likely third round opponent is top seed  Aryna Sabalenka.

Emma Raducanu is 40th in the live rankings but has regained her position as British number one. The 22-year-old has played two grass court events this month. The last eight was reached at Queen's Club.

Last week in Eastbourne. Raducanu was beaten in round two by the eventual champion Maya Joint. The British number one has twice made it to the last 16 at Wimbledon, most recently last year.

Mingge Xu is only 17-years-old and the world number 318 was given a wild card into the main draw. Xu has played four grass court tournaments this year with a 4-4 record. Her best form was shown in Birmingham with a run to the last eight. That included a win over Alycia Parks. Three of her last four matches have been lost.
