Egypt are the hosts of this 2019 African Cup of Nations tournament and have a good chance of winning it. They won all three of their group matches, one of only three to do so and are yet to concede a goal. The Egypians opened the tournament with a 1-0 win over Zimbabwe and followed that up with a 2-0 defeat of DR Congo. Their final group game produced a 2-0 defeat of Uganda. Their four goals in the last two matches have been shared by Mo Salah and Ahmed El Mohamady. With a steady supply of goals from those two and a strong defence, they should be capable of winning this match.

South Africa squeezed into the knock-out stages. They filled the fourth and final place for the best third-placed teams finishing ahead of Kenya on goal difference. They ended up behind Morocco and Ivory Coast in Group D scoring just one goal and conceding two. Their group matches began with a 1-0 loss to Ivory Coast and followed that with a vital win over Namibia before losing 1-0 to Morocco with their opponents scoring in the 90th minute. Over 90 minutes they have only won two of their last 11 games and the confident tip here is for an Egyptian win.
